We spent Friday June 6th at The Marshes Golf Club in Kanata, with highlights for our golfers on course including the McDonald’s McFlurry Truck serving hot fudge sundaes and McFlurry’s, plus delicious drinks from The Thirst Responders, Pistols Brewery, and a friendly competition called “Are You Better Than a 5th Grader” if anyone could beat Colt Stewart on a Par 3!
Our event was a tremendous success, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our volunteers every step of the way.
Bonny, one of our dedicated House Volunteers, and her grandson Nathan brought the magic—literally—with card tricks and more, lifting spirits and raising funds on the 8th hole. Over on hole #12, Deborah (McDonald’s Owner/Operator) and her fantastic McDonald’s crew kept the energy high, while Tabitha Walter from Martin Brower kept things rolling at the Square Board. And a big thank you to the RBC team on the first hole, who brought the fun with their mini putt activation!
To those who may not have joined us at the event, support from our Online Auction contributed $11,174.88 to the total – all from incredible companies and brands, donated through friends of Ronald McDonald House.
Together, we celebrated the spirit of giving and all the kids who feel at home here at Ronald McDonald House. We can’t wait to see you all next year for more great memories, laughter, and friendly competition.
