Forty years after we first opened our doors in 1984, Ottawa’s Ronald McDonald House is expanding! The new addition of the House will be 3 stories high, located where the old parking lot used to be. It will feature 22 additional suites for a total of 36 suites, multiple family tv rooms, a larger kitchen, quiet eating spaces, an elevator and so much more.
While CHEO’s patient population continues to grow, our capacity has remained the same. The children’s hospital depends on RMHC Ottawa to accommodate the families of patients coming from over 200 rural, northern, and Indigenous communities annually.
